Dodge Charger SRT8 | Pre-Sale Detail2026-06-05T17:35:16+10:00

Dodge Charger SRT8 | Pre-Sale Detail

There’s a particular kind of owner who doesn’t just sell a car. They hand it over. They want the next person to get the full experience, the same feeling they had when they first sat behind the wheel, and they want to walk away knowing the car went out the right way.

That was this guy. Moving on to something new, but not cutting corners on the way out. The Charger SRT8 had been well looked after over the years, but time does what time does. The paint had gone dull, the surfaces inside had that lived-in flatness, and the whole car had lost the sharpness it would have had sitting on a showroom floor. It wasn’t rough. It just wasn’t right.

He booked the Pre-Sale Detail. We came to him.

Starting inside, we worked through the entire cabin methodically. Full vacuum throughout, including under the seats and into the areas that rarely see attention. Every interior surface cleaned properly, door jambs, door cards, dashboard, console, steering wheel, air vents. The leather seats were cleaned and conditioned to bring the softness back. Seats and carpets were shampoo extracted. Interior glass polished to clarity. A premium deodoriser applied at the end so the smell matched the presentation.

Outside, a high-pressure pre-wash took the loose dirt off safely before a pH-neutral foam cannon and two-bucket hand wash cleaned the panels without putting a mark in them. The car was hand dried with soft microfibre. Bug and tar stripped from the paintwork and bumpers. Iron and brake dust removed from the rims. Wheel arches cleaned through properly. Tyre dressing applied by hand.

Then the paint. A clay bar treatment pulled the embedded contamination out of the surface, followed by an iron removal pass to deal with what the clay leaves behind. A Stage 1 machine polish brought the gloss back and took care of the light imperfections that had built up. Ceramic sealant applied over the top to lock in the finish, add depth, and give the paint a layer of durable protection for whoever drives it next.

Engine bay detailed and dressed. Fuel cap area degreased and cleaned.

By the time we were done, the Charger looked the way it should have the whole time. The paint had its depth back. The interior felt new. The kind of result that reminds an owner why they bought the car in the first place, and gives the next owner no reason to question the price.

That’s what a proper pre-sale detail does. It’s not about disguising anything. It’s about presenting the car at its honest best, and making sure the money you’ve put into it over the years actually shows up on sale day.
